Local photographer Oana Hogrefe announces the release of the 2012 “Childhood Calendar,” her annual calendar featuring heartwarming photographs of local children benefiting a local non-profit. This year’s beneficiary is Jack and Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation, which is dedicated to giving families with one parent in the late stages of cancer the unique gift of spending a few days in the dream destination of their choosing, where they can reconnect without the intrusiveness of the disease. One hundred precent of the profits from the Childhood Calendar goes directly to Jack and Jill.

The Childhood Calendar was created as a fun way to raise money for child-centered charities. The 2012 calendar’s theme is “Faces of Childhood” and features photographs of children taken by Hogrefe. The children were selected from open casting sessions, and community members voted for their favorites to be featured in the final calendar.

The calendars cost $12.99 and can be purchased online at www.childhoodcalendar.com.
