Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, is getting help from local officials as he competes with the local candidate, former U.S. House speaker Newt Gingrich, for votes in the March 6 presidential primary.

According to the Romney campaign, the following local officials are serving on his Georgia steering committee:

State Representative and Sandy Springs City Attorney Wendell Willard

State Rep. Mike Jacobs

State Rep.  Tom Taylor

Sandy Springs Mayor Eva Galambos

Sandy Springs Councilman Gabriel Sterling
