A 40-year-old Sandy Springs woman was in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital after she was shot April 20 at an apartment complex where she lives, Sandy Springs police reported.

Police said they had established no motive for the shooting of Adina Parson.

Witnesses told police they heard several gunshots about 11:45 p.m. April 20. Officers found the woman, who it appeared had been shot several times in the head, in a breezeway of the Residences of Morgan Falls apartments in the 7700 block of Roswell Road.

Police said they had no evidence to connect the shooting to shootings that occurred April 14 at the Residences at Morgan Falls in the 1400 block of Jefferson Drive. In that incident, Patrick Placide, 28, of Atlanta, was slain in what police said appeared to be a botched drug deal. His cousin, Jeanlouis Willy, 28, of Roswell, was wounded.
