The Atlanta Food Truck Park on Howell Mill Road has closed due to permitting issues with the city of Atlanta over the trucks, the organization says on its website.

The organization said the closing was temporary. The park opened April 26.

“To keep everyone in the loop, we are limited on food trucks right now as we work with them to ensure they are all properly permitted to serve up their delicious food here at the park. Please be assured that, these permits are not food safety related,” the park said in a statement on its website, http://atlantafoodtruckpark.com.

The web site said the park is properly permitted, but individual trucks needed separate  permits.

“Atlanta Food Truck Park is properly permitted for food trucks, but all food trucks are independent operations and with the ever-changing regulations and bureaucracy that the food trucks in Atlanta face it has been a continuous uphill battle,” the web site said. “Our goal is to offer a home to these hard working food truck owners so that they can offer their food and services to everyone in Atlanta.

“We will be closed for a short period until we have a decent line up of food trucks. We encourage you to keep supporting the food trucks in any way you can as they are working hard to serve you.”
