The Federal Aviation Administration has confirmed a Monday morning, June 18, accident at the DeKalb Peachtree Airport involving a plane running off a runway.

The FAA says a Hawker Beechcraft 400 carrying four people ran off the end of Runway 20L  at around 10 a.m. The twin-engine business jet ran through the fence but did not reach Dresden Drive.

The FAA reports the plane arrived from Gadsden, Ala. and confirmed some of the four people on the plane were injured. Local authorities are investigating and the FAA is sending safety inspectors. The National Transportation Safety Board will determine the cause of the accident.
