Sandy Springs Police are offering a free, two-hour class to help parents and teens prepare to teach the teens to drive.

The class is “designed to help parents and their new (or soon to be) teen drivers… learn what they need to do during the 40 hours of supervised driving practice driving time required by Georgia law,” the city says in a press release.

The class is limited to 15 teens, said Officer Tim Sheffield. The class is taught from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sandy Springs Police Headquarters and is for teens aged 14 to 16.
