The Wind Down Wednesday concert scheduled for tonight, July 18, has been cancelled because of a “high probability” of bad weather, Heritage Sandy Springs announced.

The concert by the band Red Zeppelin has been rescheduled for Aug. 22.

“Rather than risk a rain out and a lost opportunity to see Red Zeppelin, we decided to reschedule,” Heritage Sandy Springs said in a statement. “Like you, we are very disappointed and regret the inconvenience. We hope you will all understand that this was not an easy decision to make, but it’s the safest decision for both the band and audience. With recent lightning strikes and trees down all over Sandy Springs, we don’t want to take any chances!”

Heritage Sandy Springs planned to hold a Wind Down Wednesday concert once each month from May to August. The band Blue Horizon is scheduled to appear Aug. 22. The concerts are held at Heritage Green. Admission is $5 for adults.
