The Midtown Neighbors’ Association will host 2012 National Night Out for Midtown on Tuesday, August 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and then  join Midtown Ponce Security Alliance, Atlanta Police Department and Midtown Blue on the Shining Light Safety Walk from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. around the neighborhood.

The meet-up will be at Myrtle Street between 5th and 6th streets. Local safety organizations and elected officials will be on hand to discuss crime prevention.  Yoli’s Food Truck will also be serving dinner with beverages supplied by Activate Drinks, while Mike and the Mini Machine Guns will be on hand to provide music.

Those who want to take the Shining Light Walk are encouraged to bring a flashlight to walk around the neighborhood and help “shine a light on crime.”
