The Buckhead Coalition said it is expanding a program that offers a $3,000 bonus to police officers who move to the area.

The Coalition began the program one year ago, offering a bonus for eight officers. In a press release, the Coalition said the program was a wild success and they are expanding it to 16 officers. The Coalition’s program is an addition to a larger city-wide effort to invite police officers to live in the city limits.

The Coalition reported 11 percent of officers who have taken advantage of the incentive programs moved to Buckhead.

“Properties that now have this benefit of police officers living on their premises are Lindmont Apartments, Arbor Gates at Buckhead, Metropolitan at Buckhead, Parkside at Buckhead, Camden Brookwood, 771 Lindbergh Apartments, Lenox Heights Condominium, Overlook at Lindbergh, Post Lindbergh, 1050 Lenox Park Apartments, The Darlington, and a single-family private residence,” the Coalition’s press release says.
