Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell presents a Certificate of Commendation to Michael Moore, President of the Buckhead 50 Club.

The Buckhead Coalition says in a press release it has issued a Certificate of Commendation to the Buckhead 50 Club in recognition of its 80th anniversary.

Coalition President Sam Massell, who is also a member of the club, said the community benefits from having multiple nonprofit associations like Buckhead 50 working on its behalf. The Buckhead 50 Club is one of the oldest, formed for the purpose of “civic service creation, club-house development, garbage collection, political enrichment, road construction, street clearing, tax relief, and youth sports support” a Coalition press release says.

Massell added “civic achievement, humanitarian services, commercial networking.”

“There could be no more important a function for a sustainable community than that,” Massell said in the release.

The Buckhead Fifty Club holds its monthly meeting at the Buckhead American Legion Hall. For more info, call 404-667-4762.
