Members of Atlanta City Council are scheduled to consider on Monday, Sept. 17, whether to approve the zoning needed to build a proposed Walmart near the Lindbergh MARTA station, members of the Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods said during their meeting Sept. 13.

Residents opposed to the plan are considering attending the council meeting.

The proposed project on the 21-acre parcel would provide about 399,000 square feet of retail and residential development and a 3-acre park.
