From police reports dated through Oct. 6.

The following information was provided to the Buckhead Reporter by the Zone 2 precinct of the Atlanta Police Department from its records and is presumed to be accurate.

Assault

200 block of 26th Street, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on Sept. 28.  Two people were arrested. One was charged with criminal damage to property/ reckless conduct for pulling his vehicle out in front of a woman’s vehicle. The other person was charged with striking the first suspect with her vehicle.

500 block of Pharr Road, NE – An aggravated assault at a hotel was reported on Sept. 29. A woman said a man and woman entered the hotel and attempted to rent a room. Upon inspection of the man’s ID by

the clerk, she told him the identification he presented did not look like him. As the employee was denying the man’s request, the woman presented a prepaid Visa card. The employee said they did not rent rooms with prepaid cards. The woman became upset and began throwing items at the clerk. When the two left, the clerk heard a loud noise. When she went to investigate the noise, the glass to the front door was found shattered. The man and woman fled.

100 block of 26th Street, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on Oct. 1.  A man said he was on his way home when he noticed an unknown suspect following him. The suspect pushed him inside the apartment with a handgun. The unknown suspect did not ask the victim for anything nor take anything.

Skyline Lane, NE – An aggravated assault was reported on Oct. 2. A woman said she confronted her male roommate over a monetary dispute. The roommate and woman were engaged in a verbal altercation that quickly ensued into a physical one. At some point, the roommate brandished a knife, subsequently cutting the victim on her index finger. She fled the apartment to a friend’s home in DeKalb County, where police were contacted and she was told to return to the original crime scene.  She was afraid. Police went to the woman’s home to gather statements.

3100 block of Roswell Road, NE – An aggravated assault was reported on Oct. 4. The suspect picked up a metal tool and struck the victim. The suspect then said he would kill the victim when he got out of jail. The suspect was arrested.

2000 block of Peachtree Road, NE – An aggravated assault was reported on Oct. 6.  The suspect hit the victim with a hammer and put a gun to the victim’s head.  The suspect was arrested.

Robbery

2200 block of Lenox Road, NE – A pedestrian robbery was reported on Sept. 28.            A woman with a cross tattoo on her face and abrasion on her arm tried to steal the victim’s cellphone.  The victim     successfully resisted and called police.

500 block of Wimbledon Road, NE – A pedestrian robbery was reported on Oct. 3.  A man approached the victim and asked for the time, then robbed the victim of a purse and a phone with a pistol. The suspect was seen getting into a light-colored Jeep.  Three suspects were tracked using the iPhone and were arrested.

1800 block of Cheshire Bridge Road, NE – A larceny at a hotel was reported on Oct. 4. A man was at a hotel with another man only known by the name of “Lorenzo.”  While in the hotel room the victim went to the restroom. When he came out he noticed that his wallet was lying on the ground and several items had been taken, including his driver’s license and three credit cards.

Burglary

2400 block of Cheshire Bridge Road, NE – A commercial burglary was reported on Sept. 24.  A woman said that upon returning to the business, she discovered someone had cut the lock on the trash room closet and stolen the pressure washer.

2100 block of River Green Drive, NW – A residential burglary was reported on Sept.  28.            A woman said she saw a man looking in her window, causing her to run away.  When she returned she found her rear lock broken and items missing from her home.

2100 block of River Green Drive, NW – A burglary from an apartment was reported on Sept. 28.            The victim’s rear door lock was broken and his laptop was missing.  His flat screen TV, keyboard and mouse also were taken, but they were found behind his house.

2000 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A burglary at an apartment was reported on Sept. 30.  A woman said she went outside to smoke for approximately 10 minutes. When she returned to her apartment she noticed that her laptop, TV, Playstation3 with controllers, video games and two watches were missing. The front door was left unlocked.

2000 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A residential burglary was reported on Oct. 1.  An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked apartment and stole items while the victim was in the bathroom.

200 block of 26th Street, NW – A residential burglary was reported on Oct. 4. An unknown suspect ripped the bedroom window screen and stole several items: a watch, a laptop, two purses and $550 in cash. A witness saw a bald man standing between the window and bushes, trying to hide.

1000 block of Somerset Drive, NW – A residential burglary was reported on Oct. 4.  An unknown suspect entered the victim’s home and stole his black leather jacket and a Civil War sword.

3700 block of Paces Ferry Road, NW – A residential burglary was reported on Oct. 6. The victim’s residence was entered and several items were stolen. No forced entry was used to enter the home. The victim’s Mercedes-Benz was keyed.

5400 block of Lenox Road, NE – A residential burglary was reported on Oct. 6.  A woman arrived home from shopping and found a man she did not know in her apartment.  He pointed a weapon at her and told her to leave before he fired.

Larceny

Bennett Street, NW – A larceny from a specialty store was reported on Sept. 23. A man said that at the end of the show, he lost $7,600 worth of clothing.

3200 block of Lenox Road, NE – A larceny was reported on Sept. 23. A woman said that her washing machine was missing from her condo after some friends left the property they were renting from her.

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny at a shopping mall was reported on Sept. 23. A man said he discovered his wallet missing from his rear pants pocket. Upon discovering the missing item, he cancelled his credit cards and attempted to retrace his steps. There was no illegal activity reported by his bank. He said he was bumped from the rear by an unknown person as he was walking in the upper part of the mall. He did not see the person and did not think about the event until he discovered the wallet missing.

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from a specialty store was reported on Sept. 24. An employee of a store said a man returned to the store with a broken helicopter and attempted to exchange it. When the employee realized the helicopter was broken from abusive damage, he refused to exchange it. The man then demanded the employee phone his manager. While the store employee was on the phone, the suspect took a helicopter from the store shelf and replaced it with the broken helicopter. The suspect then left the store without paying for the item.

2900 block of Pharr Court South, NE – A larceny from a store was reported on Sept. 26.             A woman said a man approached her asking about toy guns.  She realized her wallet was stolen once she got to the cash register.

1100 block of Lavista Road, NE – A larceny from an apartment was reported on Sept. 27.  A woman said that the suspect stole items from the apartment that they were both living in. She went out of town and upon returning she discovered her items were gone, along with her dog.

1100 block of Davis Place, NW – A larceny was reported on Sept. 29. Items were taken from the home during the dog sitter’s stay. The victim was out of town and did not give the dog sitter a key to the front door, and her only point of entry was through the garage door.

3000 block of Slaton Drive, NW – A larceny was reported on Sept. 29.  The suspect was seen driving off with the victim’s forklift. The suspect was later seen walking on Habersham, and identified as the person who stole the forklift.  The suspect was arrested and charged with theft by taking.

Collier Road, NW – A larceny at an apartment complex was reported on Sept. 30.  A man said he witnessed the suspect take packages from in front of the mail boxes and then go to the rear of the building and throw the empty boxes away after removing the contents. The man said he knows the suspect and he is frequently in the building.

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from a specialty store was reported on Sept. 30.  A store employee said she was approached by a man who was intentionally attempting to distract her while another man took a pair of sunglasses worth $545. When the man placed the sunglasses inside his pocket, the witness said she approached him and demanded them back. The man denied stealing the glasses and both men then fled.

600 block of Miami Circle, NE – A larceny from a specialty store was reported on Oct. 1.  The victim said she discovered five of her business’s Chanel ladies bags were missing. The bags were discovered missing through an inventory.

3400 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from a specialty store was reported on Oct. 1. A store employee said she saw two women and a man exiting the store wearing hoodies. Upon seeing the suspicious persons, she phoned another store employee and told him to do a quick inventory of the Chanel boutique. Upon looking, it was discovered that four purses were missing from the area. The suspects were last seeing leaving in a black BMW.

3300 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from a department store was reported on Oct. 1.                A store employee said two women and a man entered the Chanel boutique area. One of the women distracted a store employee by asking to see a handbag. While the store employee complied with the request, the other suspects cut the cables to three Chanel bags, subsequently placing them into a large tote bag. The three suspects left with the bags in their possession.

2300 block of Cheshire Bridge Road, NE – A larceny from a store was reported on Oct. 2.  An employee was seen attempting to take four tires without paying. When he was confronted, he dropped the items then sped away from the area.

Larceny from Auto

2700 block of Lenox Road, NE – A larceny from an auto was reported on Sept. 23.  Someone smashed the window on the victim’s 2012 Chevy, stealing his navy blue duffle bag with his flute and miscellaneous items inside.

1900 block of Peachtree Road, NW – A larceny from an auto was reported on Sept. 24. The victim parked the vehicle in a parking lot and returned to find a damaged door handle. The victim entered the vehicle and saw bags with medical records and surgical equipment had been stolen.

2900 block of Piedmont Road, NE – A larceny from an auto at a car wash was reported on Oct. 2. The arrestee stole four quarters from the victim’s vehicle while it was being cleaned.

3200 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from an auto was reported on Oct. 4.  A woman said she parked her vehicle in the parking deck. Upon returning she noticed someone had damaged the driver’s side door handle to the vehicle. Three bottles of wine were missing.

Auto Theft

3500 block of Rockhaven Circle, NE – An auto theft was reported on the morning of Oct. 1. The victim heard someone drive off with the vehicle from the driveway.  The victim said the suspect hit the barbeque grill, and could see tire marks in the front lawn.

1500 block of Howell Mill Road, NW – An auto theft was reported on Oct. 4.  A woman said her vehicle was stolen from a car service business while it was there for service.
