From police reports dated through Dec. 1.
The following information was provided to the Buckhead Reporter by the Zone 2 precinct of the Atlanta Police Department from its records and is presumed to be accurate.
2400 block of Coronet Way, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on Nov. 12. During an altercation between boyfriend and girlfriend, the woman was hit on the left side of her lip with a closed fist by her boyfriend, causing a small cut on her lip.
I-75 Northbound @ Moores Road, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on Nov. 25. A woman said her vehicle was shot at while driving near the location. She said she heard a loud bang but was too scared to pull over at the time. When she reached home she discovered the bullet hole in her vehicle’s rear quarter panel. The suspects were driving a champagne-colored Toyota.
3300 block of Lenox Road, NE – A rape at a hotel was reported on the morning of Nov. 30. A woman said while in town for business, she had dinner with two people. Upon returning to the hotel, the three had drinks at the bar. She further reports she became highly intoxicated and had to be helped to her room. Upon entering the room, she said one of the subjects remained and aided her while she was vomiting. Sometime within the night, she was awakened by a subject who having sexual intercourse with her. She said she asked the man to stop, and he subsequently stopped and left the room. She said she did not look at his face but thought she recognized his voice as the one man who remained in the room. DNA and a rape kit were done on the victim.
2100 block of Piedmont Road, NE – An aggravated assault at an apartment complex was reported on Dec. 1. The victim’s boyfriend scratched the victim’s arm and put a gun to his face and then left the scene.
400 block of Buckhead Avenue, NE – A pedestrian robbery was reported on Nov. 11. Someone wearing a ski mask, along with another man with a handgun, took the victim’s wallet and cellphone.
1700 block of Commerce Drive, NW – A pedestrian robbery was reported on Nov. 20. An unknown man in a black or dark blue, older model Chevy Malibu robbed another man of his wallet as he was walking through the parking lot. The suspect placed a handgun in the back of the victim and demanded his wallet.
3100 block of Paces Ferry Place, NW – A pedestrian robbery was reported on the morning of Nov. 27. Three unidentified suspects approached a man as he was walking down the sidewalk, struck him from behind and stole his green fleece sweater and $80 in cash. The man said he waited until the next day to call the police because he was very intoxicated during the time of the incident.
2500 block of Bolton Road, NW – A commercial robbery was reported on Nov. 30. The suspect entered the Family Dollar store and demanded cash from the victim; the woman stalled and the suspect struck her several times in the neck and back with a pistol. The suspect fled on foot.
400 block of Lindbergh Drive, NE – A residential burglary was reported on Nov. 20. Someone kicked in the front door of the victim’s home, then stole a TV, fur coat, a 30-piece silver set and other items.
2200 block of Lenox Road, NE – A residential burglary was reported on Nov. 21. Two men with handguns kicked in the back door to the apartment. One suspect kicked the one of the victims in his right side and stole electronics from the home.
4400 block of Roswell Road, NE – A commercial burglary at a gas station was reported on Nov. 25. A man disabled the alarm system, then entered the business by smashing the window on the bay door. When the owner confronted the suspect, the suspect left the location on foot.
3400 block of Old Plantation Road, NW – A residential burglary was reported on Nov. 26. A burglary occurred at a vacant residence. The home had no locks. A washer, dryer, air conditioning unit and tools were taken. No prints available and no video.
100 block of W. Wieuca Road, NE – A commercial burglary at a pharmacy was reported on the morning of Nov. 28. The suspect smashed the front glass window, and took $195 cash and hydrocodone. The suspect was arrested.
3600 block of Ivy Road, NE – A residential burglary was reported on Nov. 29. Someone entered the victim’s home and stole silverware and other items.
1100 block of Moores Mil Road, NW – A larceny was reported on Nov. 12. Two men stole the three victims’ iPhones from the gym while they were playing basketball at the YMCA.
800 block of Forrest Street, NW – A larceny was reported on Nov. 12. The reporting person said that he returned to work and noticed that a camera tripod and a 55″ Samsung TV was stolen from the storage room. He said that a pawn shop had called him and said that a tripod was there.
3300 block of Lenox Road, NE –A larceny was reported on Nov. 17. A woman said while at Houston’s restaurant she was sitting at the bar, which was very crowded. She placed her purse down on the corner of the bar for five minutes when she realized it was gone.
1600 block of Nancy Creek Ridge, NW – A larceny from a residence was reported on Nov. 19. A woman said she discovered over 100 pieces of her antique silver dishes and flatware missing from the home.
1800 block of Peachtree Street, NW – A larceny was reported on Nov. 20. A woman said that her black handbag was taken from the restaurant while she was there with friends. The handbag was inside a food bag that was left sitting on a bench inside the restaurant.
3100 block of Chastain Drive, NW – A larceny was reported on the evening of Nov. 24. A woman did not pay the taxi fare and threw up in the back of the car; she entered her apartment and did not come back.
3900 block of N. Stratford Road, NE – A larceny from a residence was reported on Nov. 24. There are antique watches missing from the basement. The theft occurred sometime between Feb. 28 and Nov. 24, while the house was being renovated.
1500 block of Monroe Drive, NE –A larceny at a gas station was reported on Nov. 27. A man said he had a laptop for sale on craigslist. Upon meeting the buyer he knows as “Jackie,” an exchange was made using a Western Union money order. The man said he was later contacted by his bank who told him the money order was fraudulent. He has since attempted to contact the suspect, to no avail. Western Union said the money order was cancelled in 2011.
1700 block of Monroe Drive, NE – A larceny was reported on Nov. 28. A woman said that her wallet was taken out of her handbag while she was shopping at Kroger. The handbag was left in the shopping cart for a short time while she talked on her cellphone.
3500 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from a discount store was reported on Nov. 28. The reporting person said that a man was witnessed by store security open four DVDs from the stock room and put them into his right pants pocket. He also opened a box of Little Debbie snack cakes and ate them without paying.
1000 block of Angelo Court, NE – A larceny was reported on Nov. 28. A woman said she noticed items missing from her residence after she had her carpet cleaned and the service tech had left.
2100 block of Springlake Drive, NW – A larceny was reported on Nov. 29. A woman said a man entered her residence and took $100 from her wallet inside her purse. The man came to the location to solicit yard work.
1900 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from a parking lot was reported on Nov. 29. A man said the suspect asked to use his cellphone. After he handed over the cellphone the suspect ran away with it, and headed toward Darlington Apartments.
Larceny from Auto
2900 block of Layton Avenue, NW – A larceny from an auto was reported on Nov. 27. A woman said that upon returning home she discovered that her purse and briefcase were missing from her vehicle. She said she left her vehicle unlocked when she went to pick up her child at day care.
3300 block of Lenox Road, NE – A larceny from an auto was reported on Nov. 25. A GMC Yukon was broken into at the J.W. Marriott, by damaging the driver’s door lock. The door was opened and approximately $3,000 worth of Christmas gifts taken. There is possible camera footage in the parking garage.
2000 block of Dellwood Drive, NW – An auto theft was reported on the morning of Nov. 20. A woman said she parked her vehicle in the driveway in front of her residence, and upon returning to it in the morning, discovered it was missing. She said she left her keys, purse and other items inside the vehicle.
2100 block of Piedmont Road, NE – An auto theft was reported on Nov. 27. Someone fished keys out of the overnight drop box and took a vehicle.
