From police reports dated through Dec. 7.

The following information was provided to the Buckhead Reporter by the Zone 2 precinct of the Atlanta Police Department from its records and is presumed to be accurate.

Assault

2200 block of Bolton Drive, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on Dec. 2. The victim’s roommate entered the apartment, started arguing with the victim, then fired one gun shot at the victim, nearly hitting him in the leg.

1700 block of Marietta Road, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on Dec. 2.  The suspect struck the victim in the face with a closed fist, causing injuries to his face.

2300 block of Parkland Drive, NE – An aggravated assault was reported on Dec. 2. A woman said she was assaulted by her boyfriend after a physical altercation. She said she was hit in the face which caused her to have a broken nose. She said the suspect hit her two friends, one in the eye causing it to blacken, and the other in the face.  The suspect left the scene.

1100 block of Woodland Avenue, NE – An aggravated assault was reported on Dec. 3.  A woman said that upon returning to her apartment, she discovered several bullet holes in the building. The second victim said that he was being shot at in front of the building and he ran away to avoid being shot.

Robbery

900 block of E. Paces Ferry Road, NE – A pedestrian robbery was reported on Dec. 6.  A man in a gray jumpsuit robbed the victim at gunpoint. The suspect stole the victim’s cellphone and purse.

Burglary

3600 block of Habersham Road, NE – A residential burglary was reported on Dec. 2. While the owner was away from the location, the door might have been left unlocked.  Someone entered and took two shotguns, two pistols, iPad, iPhone and $2,000 in cash. The owner said he was intoxicated when he came home.

2400 block of Parkland Drive, NE – A residential burglary was reported on Dec. 2.  Someone went into an apartment and appeared to be masturbating. The suspect ran away.  The front door was unlocked.

2900 block of Wyngate Drive, NW –A residential burglary was reported on Dec. 5. The suspect, in a silver Altima, was seen in the area where the victim’s home was broken into and her

safe with $150,000 worth of jewelry was stolen. The vehicle was seen leaving the driveway at the location around the time.

3700 block of Roswell Road, NE – A commercial burglary was reported on Dec. 5. The reporting person said upon returning to the business to open it, he discovered that the cash register drawer was missing. No forced entry was discovered into the business.

600 block of Paces Ferry Road, NW – A residential burglary was reported on Dec. 7.  An officer noticed a window broken in the garage. The owner was contacted and said she hacn’t been home in months. She said she will notify police if anything is missing.

Larceny

1800 block of Howell Mill Road, NW – A larceny from a discount store was reported on Dec. 2. The arrestee was seen selecting the item, then placing it into the sleeve of his shirt and attempting to leave the store without paying.

3400 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny was reported on Dec. 3. The reporting person said that 11 fire extinguishers were missing from the parking garage.

3200 block of Roswell Road, NE – A larceny was reported on the evening of Dec. 3. A woman said while she was purchasing a Christmas tree, she set her purse on the counter and turned away briefly.  She said  when she got home, she noticed that her wallet was missing from her purse; also, she said her creditors called and informed her that multiple charges were being charged on her account at various stores.

300 block of Pharr Road, NE – A larceny from a specialty store was reported on Dec. 5. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s store keys, then used the keys to unlock the product cabinet and take six bundles of virgin India hair.

Larceny from Auto

1900 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A larceny from an auto was reported on Dec. 2. Someone forced entry into the victim’s vehicle, taking a bag with two magazines, one handcuff, vest, 15 rounds of 40- caliber ammunition, a Glock and holster from a Clayton County officer.

1200 block of W. Paces Ferry Road, NW – A larceny from an auto was reported on Dec. 4. Someone entered a woman’s unlocked vehicle after she ran into the restaurant to pick up a to-go order and stole her alligator wallet containing $1,100 in cash and  checkbooks.

1300 block of Mt. Paran Road, NW – A larceny from an auto was reported on Dec. 6. A woman parked her vehicle at the curb at Jackson Elementary School and ran inside to get her daughter.  She said that upon her return to the vehicle, she noticed that the driver side window was shattered and her purse was missing.

1300 block of Peachtree Battle Avenue, NW – A larceny from an auto was reported on Dec. 7. While looking at a house on Peachtree Battle, a woman placed her purse under the passenger’s seat and didn’t see it when she returned.
