Banker Cory Jackson assumed the post of chairman of the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce during the business group’s annual meeting on Jan. 17.
Jackson told more than 120 chamber members gathered at Villa Cristina the chamber had grown by 127 new members in 2012 and his goal was to add 150 new members in 2013. He said he also planned to “ramp up” the organization’s economic development efforts.
“Our goal as a chamber is to continue to be a driving force in economic development,” he said.
Jackson, a branch manager with PNC bank, follows Rusty Paul as chamber chairman.
