If you’re looking for somewhere new to nosh, 2013 is going to be a full plate when it comes to restaurant opening Intown. Delia’s Chicken Sausage Stand
Delia Champion and Molly Gunn are bringing their popular concept to the Westside. The new stand, which will feature a rooftop deck) will open later this year at 881 Marietta St. The delicious chicken sausage sliders have been a hit at the East Atlanta location since opening in 2011. Gunshow
Chef Kevin Gillespie, formerly of Woodfire Grill, will open this new, provocatively title restaurant at 924 Garrett St. in Glenwood Park. The menu is rumored to have a Southern influence and the restaurant’s Facebook page has this to say: guests can eat what they wish as he [Gillespie] prepares dishes from refined to rustic and sends them out to the small dining room.

King and Duke
Chef Ford Fry – of JCT. Kitchen and The Optimist fame – will be dishing up “Colonial American” cuisines at his latest restaurant located inside the old Nava space in Buckhead. The opening is scheduled for April. Fry has also leased the former Bluepointe space in Buckhead’s Pinnacle building for another new restaurant. We’re still waiting to hear about the concept and opening date, but just after the lease was signed in December a Fall 2013 timetable was announced.

Saltyard
Restaurant veterans Christian Favalli and Kristy Favalli-Jones will open Saltyard in The Brookwood Building, 1820 Peachtree Road, in late spring. The mostly small plate format will feature seasonal dishes including starches, charcuterie, cheese and larders, vegetable, seafood and meats. There will also be a patio overlooking Peachtree. Bar Antico
Antico Pizza owner Giovanni di Palma opened Gio’s Chicken Amalfitano before the holidays, but his expansion plans don’t end there. Bar Antico will open next door his di Palma’s other eateries on Hemphill Avenue this spring featuring desserts, gelato and drinks.

La Hacienda
Currently under construction on the site of the old Silver Grill space on Monroe Drive in Midtown, this new, 2,000 square foot Mexican restaurant is slated to open sometime in 2013.

Villains
Alex Broustein of Grindhouse, Jared Lee Pyles of HD1 and Jason McClure of FLIP have joined forces to open a new sandwich shop in the former Little Azio space in Midtown. At press time, Villians (offering “wickedly good sandwiches”) was slated to open in February. Check the Facebook page for more info at facebook.com/VillainsWickedHeroes.

Ink & Elm
Emory Village is getting a new place to dine this month at 1577 N. Decatur Road with the opening of Ink & Elm, which will feature specialty sandwiches that change daily in addition to unique sides, salads and soups. Stephen Sharp, formerly of FAB, is the chef. BoccaLupo
Ria Pell’s former Sauced space on Edgewood Avenue is being transformed by Bruce Logue (formerly of La Pietra Cucina) into Italian-themed BoccaLupo. With a spring opening planned, Logue says there will be a pasta bar and cheeses. Follow the restaurant’s progress at facebook.com/boccalupoatl.

Also coming soon: Yum Bunz was expected to open in late February or early March on the Westside serving up Asian/Korean-inspired stir-fry dishes, salads, soups, pot stickers, bao and ssam. Check facebook.com/YumBunz for more information. Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere’s new chicken joint, Chick-a-Biddy, will open at Atlantic Station sometime this spring.

Recently Opened

KR SteakBar
Kevin Rathbun brings his love of meat to Peachtree Hills (specifically the ADAC complex) with KR SteakBar. The Italian-inspird menu will feature small plates and petite cut steaks at a more budget-friendly pricepoint than his the popular Rathbun Steak in Inman Park. At press time, the restaurant had just announced its opening on Facebook and was taking reservations. Check the website at krsteakbar.com for more information.

10th and Piedmont
The dearly-departed Outwrite Bookstore space has been completely renovated for 10th and Piedmont, located next door to sister restaurant Gilbert’s Café. Chef Brett Ring is cooking up global cuisine with a Southern influence. And, yes, the patio is still there overlooking the prime Midtown corner. Modern Restaurant + Bar
Modern American cuisine is on Chef Mark Alba’s menu at this new restaurant Situated in Buckhead at 3365 Piedmont Road. For reservations, visit modernbuckhead.com.

Cook Hall
The W Atlanta – Buckhead’s new restaurant is Cook Hall, which is offering a contemporary take on American Comfort Food to locals and travellers. Chef David Gross’ menu includes duck tacos, pimiento mac and cheese and cornbread glazed with brown sugar and bacon. Cook Hall will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seven Lamps
Chef Drew Van Leuvan’s new restaurant at the Shops Around Lenox in Buckhead focuses on craft food and drinks. The menu features regionally influenced dishes with seasonal ingredients including iced oysters on the half shell, pastas, artisan cheeses, wood-grilled chicken breast and more. Lunch, dinner and a late night menu (from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.) is being served. Visit sevenlampsatl.com for details.

La Tagliatella
The internationally known Italian restaurant jumped into the American market in Atlanta with not one, but two locations. The first is in Midtown at the Metropolis building (919 Peachtree St.) and the latest is at Emory Point, 1540 Avenue Place. Both restaurants serve lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. For menus and reservations, visit latagliatella.us.

Also recently opened: Marlow’s Tavern (marlowstavern.com) has opened a new outpost at Emory Point. West & Mill Bistro Bar (westandmill.com) is serving up sandwiches, salads and drinks under the direction of Chef Gavin Blair at 1000 Marietta St., Suite 202. Olmsted (olmstedatl.com) is in the former Trois space on Peachtree Street in Midtown serving up fish, steaks and other comfort food. The General Muir (thegeneralmuir.com), created by the folks behind West Egg Café, is open at Emory Point under the direction of Chef Todd Ginsberg serving up Jewish-deli inspired goodies.
