The Georgia Department of Community Affairs is reviewing plans for a large multiuse development in Sandy Springs at the corner of Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Abernathy.

Hines Interests Limited Partners on March 6 filed plans with DCA to be considered as a Development of Regional Impact. The project is called 100 Northpark and developers want to build 1.5 million square feet of office space, 150,000 square feet of retail, 500 multifamily units and a 250 room hotel.

Hines is requesting the city of Sandy Springs rezone the property and approve a zoning variance. The estimated completion date for 100 Northpark is 2017.
