The Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce held its inaugural reception March 14, honoring those who helped to create the city of Brookhaven.

The reception, held at Villa Christina, was attended by business people and elected officials from Brookhaven, Dunwoody and DeKalb County as well as a few state legislators.

Executive Director Arthur Freeman and Board Chairman Todd Lantier presented the chamber’s first annual awards to: all the volunteers who helped start up the city; Brookhaven City Manager Marie Garrett; and the five members of the Governor’s Commission on Brookhaven – Ben Vinson, JD Clockadale, Todd Lantier, Jed Beardsley and Kim Gokce.
