The PATH Foundation will host the third annual Chastain Park “triPATHlon” May 5.

The race, which begins at 7:30 a.m., includes a 400-yard swim in the Chastain Park pool, a 15-mile bike ride and a 5-kilometer run on the Chastain Park trail.

Proceeds from the triPATHlon will benefit the PATH Foundation, Chastain Park Conservancy and Chastain Park Athletic Club.

For kids 6-14, there will be a Splash & Dash race, which includes a swim and run.

“The race continues to grow each year. People love having the convenience of an in town race, and Chastain Park makes for an amazing course,” said Brian Cosgray, a PATH Foundation committee member, in a press release. “This is a great way to start your triathlon race season.”

The triPATHlon is a fully sanctioned USAT sprint triathlon. The entry fee is $80 for USAT members and $92 for non-members. Teams will have an entry fee of $130. For the Splash & Dash, the entry fee is $40 for USAT members and $50 for non-members.
