Atlanta Police have announced a break in the case of a “bump and run” carjacking in Buckhead.

On May 10, APD announced that the department’s Gang and Fugitive units, working with the U.S. Marshals, arrested Ronnie Houston, 24. According to the APD press release, Houston’s birthday is May 10.

According to the APD press release, Houston is charged with “armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of financial transaction card theft, hit and run and driving without a license on person.”

Police allege Houston, along with two accomplices, on May 1 intentionally rear-ended a Buick Enclave at the intersection of West Wesley and Howell Mill roads in Buckhead.  The couple in the Buick Enclave stepped out of the vehicle to check the damage. The couple told police that three men got out of the car that rear-ended their vehicle and robbed them at gunpoint before driving off with the Enclave.

Police said there may soon be more arrests in connection with the case.
