Some new faces will be joining the ranks in Atlanta Police Department’s Zone 2 precinct in Buckhead.

APD recently announced the graduation of 35 new officers from the Atlanta Police Academy. APD recognized the new grads in a July 29 ceremony.

APD spokesman Carlos Campos said that three of the graduates will be joining Zone 2.

More about the latest graduates from APD’s press release:

“The graduation ceremony concluded 21 weeks of rigorous training at the Atlanta Police Academy, along with 12 weeks of field training with veteran officers.  The training includes classroom courses in constitutional law, Atlanta Police Department policy and procedure, hands-on defensive tactics, arrest techniques and daily physical fitness.   Class 229 consists of 24 men and 11 women.”
