The Buckhead Coalition says four Atlanta Police Officers have renewed their commitment to living in Buckhead.

The officers received a financial incentive provided by the Coalition and the Atlanta Police Foundation in exchange for moving into the community.

In a press release, the Coalition said the four officers had reached their one year anniversary. The coalition reports that 15 officers have taken advantage of the incentives. Each officer is eligible for up to $3,000, with $1,000 coming from the Police Foundation.

Coalition President Sam Massell called it a “win-win” for everyone.

“There are uniformed men and women visiting grocery stores, restaurants, and other business establishments daily,” Massell said in the press release. “ … They live among us and move through our community in a way that greatly increases the exposure of law enforcement (and is) a genuine deterrent to crime.”
