The Atlanta Police Department have arrested Brandon Barnes, 25, and charged him with the murder after an incident at Underground yesterday afternoon, Aug. 12, according to Officer John Chafee.

APD responded to a person shot call around at 3:50 p.m. yesterday at 65 Alabama Street in Downtown. According to Chafee,  officers found a male victim who appeared to have been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to Grady Hospital and died from his injuries. Atlanta Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began their investigation.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the incident started as a dispute inside Underground Atlanta and escalated to gunfire once outside. Investigators spoke with witnesses and one person who they believed might have been involved in the homicide, which turned out to be Barnes.
