Kevin Rathbun

Atlanta chef and restaurateur Kevin Rathbun won the Food Network’s Chopped television show last night alongside his brother, Kent Rathbun.

With twenty minutes to complete the three-course dinner, only one chef would end up being the champ. The ingredients for the first course were Cape Gooseberries, Falooda Glass Noodles, Watercress and Bacalao. Rathbun’s first dish included Brandade with Gooseberry Vinaigrette. His second dish’s ingredients were cinnamon rolls and beef tips. With that, he made Beef Tip Cap Steak with Green Bean Pesto and a Sweet and Savory Bread Pudding. For dessert, the basket of ingredients included Spaetzle, Moustalevria, Walnuts, and Japanese Cola Candy. Rathbun created a Cream Cheese Dough Empanada.

Rathbun’s favorite charity, Atlanta Community Food Bank, received $10,000 from Food Network.
