Atlanta Police report that a woman was paralyzed after being dropped on her head during an aggravated assault at a Buckhead bar.

The incident occurred on Aug. 3 at Wet Willies on Piedmont Road and was reported on Aug. 6.

According to reports supplied by Atlanta Police, on Aug. 3 an unknown man grabbed a woman by her waist. The report says the man tried several times to lift the woman into the air after she told him to stop.

The man lifted the woman in the air, was not strong enough to hold her, dropped her on her head, and fell on top of her, the report says.  The woman was not able to move and was transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where she is hospitalized and paralyzed.  It is unknown if the man was intoxicated, and unknown which direction he went after the incident.

Staff at Wet Willies confirmed that they are working with police investigators and directed all other questions to Atlanta Police.
