Pen and marker manufacturer Sharpie is moving its global headquarters to 3 Glenlake Parkway in Sandy Springs. Sharpie will join parent company Newell Rubbermaid’s other consumer brands – Calphalon, Graco, Goody and Levolor – and will add 60 jobs locally.

The brands will share a newly created marketing floor in Newell Rubbermaid’s headquarters, which is designed to encourage idea generation and sharing, and promote creativity and collaboration.

This move establishes Atlanta as Newell Rubbermaid’s consumer marketing hub, bringing together the majority of its consumer marketing teams under one roof.

  1. Should not your headline read that Sharpie is moving its headquarters to Metro Atlanta or to Sandy Springs? As it reads now – it tends to make people believe that they are moving into the City of Atlanta – which unfortunately, is not the case.

    1. We were going for brevity in the headline. It clearly states in the first sentence that the HQ will be in Sandy Springs, but we’ve added metro as not to confuse anyone else. Thanks for reading.

  3. I always think of ‘Atlanta’ as referring to everything within the perimeter and just outside the lines, going as far as Marietta and Sandy Springs.

    Does metro Atlanta include Marrietta?
