A rendering of how a renovated Midtown MARTA station might look.

The Midtown Alliance, Atlanta Regional Commission and MARTA are planning major facelifts of the three rail stations in the neighborhood at North Avenue, Midtown and Arts Center. The public is invited to a design workshop on Sept. 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to give their input. The meeting will be held on the 5th floor of the Promenade building, 1230 Peachtree St.

Enhancement plans will focus on a range of issues including access, safety, maintenance, wayfinding, lighting, landscaping and public art, primarily on the exterior of each station. There has also been discussion about adding retail to the stations. You can read more about the planned MARTA station enhancements at this link.
