Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS) is bursting at the seams with dogs and cats. To get these animals adopted, FCAS is running two promotions: ‘Free Dog Fridays,’ an ongoing event where dogs who’ve been at FCAS for three weeks or more are free on Fridays, and ‘Free Cats for Fall,’ which will run Sept. 21 – 28. Potential adopters will still be screened to ensure the animals are being placed in good homes.

The shelter, which can house 60 cats and 200 dogs at a time, is currently housing 111 cats and 243 dogs.

FCAS Director Lara Hudson is hoping that these promotions will bring in as many dog and cat adoptions as the first fee-waived cat promotion. “During the two week promotion in July, we adopted out 146 cats and kittens,” she says. “We hope the community will once again help us save lives by adopting dogs and cats free of charge.”

For absolutely no cost, adopters will receive a dog or cat that has been spayed or neutered, has had all vaccines and is microchipped – a $200 value. To view cats or dogs available for adoption, visit the shelter at 860 Marietta Blvd. NW, Atlanta, 30318 or go to fultonanimalservices.com.
