His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama visited Atlanta from Oct. 8-10 in his role as Presidential Distinguished Professor of Emory University.
On Tuesday he gave a public talk to a packed audience at the Gwinnett Center on “The Pillars of Responsible Citizenship in the 21st Century Global Village” and then participated in a panel on Secular Ethics in Education.
On Wednesday, day the Dalai Lama gave a talk on the Emory Campus on “Secular Ethics 101” and afterwards was part of panel discussing “Can Secular Ethics Unite Us?”
His visit will conclude on Thursday with an invitation only Buddhist Teaching on the Emory Campus in conjunction with the Drepung Loseling Monastery in Atlanta.
