Universal Tennis Management, in conjunction with the Sharon Lester Tennis Center at Piedmont Park and the City of Atlanta, will be hosting “100 Years of Tennis” at Piedmont Park on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full day of activities  beginning with a Play Day, hosted by Atlanta ContactPoint, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids will enjoy a day of sports activities as well as inflatables on the tennis courts, all promoting health and fitness.

There will be a ceremony and an unveiling of a special plaque commemorating Sharon Lester Tennis Center’s years of history between 6-6:30pm. Atlanta officials, including Parks and Recreation Commissioner George Dusenbury and City Councilman Michael Bond, among other dignitaries, will be on hand for the festivities.

An Adult Round Robin from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. will be hosted by Universal Tennis Management’s partners and coaches and is open to tennis players throughout Atlanta and specifically the Piedmont Park area.
