The Speakeasy Cocktail Festival is set for Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Event Center at Opera with two identical sessions from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and again from 5 to 8 p.m.

This Gatsby-themed event requires 1920s attire – feathers, fedoras, pinstripes – and will feature local bands Cicada Rhythm and Lives of the Monster Dogs, DJ TJ and burlesque-inspired performances by Dangerous Curves. A series of lounges will feature cocktails, cigars, a casino and a special VIP lounge.

A selection of mixologists will compete head-to-head in the Makers & Shakers Mixology Championships and there will be Speakeasy Prohibition-Era Costume Contest

General admission tickets are $75 per session and VIP tickets are $110 per session; all tickets include 10 tasting tabs. Tickets are available online at www.speakeasycocktailfestival.com/tickets. Proceeds from the Speakeasy Cocktail Festival will benefit the Health Education and Communication Center of Atlanta, an organization that works to build awareness to improve health literacy and positively impact health outcomes throughout the state of Georgia.
