The City of Atlanta is encouraging residents to verify their voter status and precinct information before heading to the polls for early voting or for the general municipal election, Nov. 5. The recommendation comes on the heels of the Fulton County Elections Office mailing out 24,000 new voter registration cards after errors were found. Registered voters can verify their information by calling (404) 330-6500 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. in Atlanta on Nov. 5. Voters will be casting ballots for mayor, city council president, city council members, board of education members and municipal court judges. You can see a sample ballot at this link. If you need an absentee ballot, download one at this link. Don’t forget to bring your photo identification with you to the polls.
