A giant Etch-a-Sketch from a past Canstruction event.

On Nov. 8, Colony Square will host the 15th annual Atlanta Canstruction competition, a unique international food drive, putting the spotlight on the design/construction industry. Competing teams, led by architects and engineers, will showcase their talents by designing giant sculptures made almost entirely out of canned and packaged foods!

The public is invited to view the completed sculptures from Nov. 8-17 in the Colony Square atrium, 1197 Peachtree Street.

At the end of the exhibition, all of the food used within the structures and the additional donations collected on site will be donated to the Atlanta Community Food Bank for distribution to hundreds of nonprofits with hunger-relief programs in metro Atlanta and North Georgia.

The Canstruction event is organized by the Atlanta Chapter of the Society for Design Administration and The Atlanta Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
