The Beatles and Rolling Stones will square off in a battle of the bands for charity on Dec. 13 at The Loft in Midtown.

Presented by Lenz and 97.1 The River,  Beatles vs. Stones will feature a dozen acts performing music by the two greatest rock bands of all time. Doors open at 8 p.m. The show starts at 9 p.m.

The evening will feature 12 bands performing three songs each. Six bands will play music by The Beatles and six will cover their favorite Rolling Stones songs. There will be door prizes, raffles, merchandise, and more. Supporting the benefit for Poverty is Real are Paste magazine, Red Eye Gravy Records, Verb, the AJC Decatur Book Festival, Decatur CD, ML Healthcare, and Carmichael, Brasher, Tuvell & Company.

Bands currently signed on to play include The District Attorneys, The Shadowboxers, Eliot Bronson, GuruFish, 7 Handle Sideshow (featuring members of 7 Handle Circus), The Damages, An English Place, Back on the Freakout, Faded Bill, Johnny Clash, Bobby Bare Jr. and Please Please RockMe from Yacht Rock Review.
