A deadline to retrieve vehicles abandoned on interstates and state routes during the snowstorm passed last night, so tow companies removed around 180 cars and trucks left behind. The state removed cars from I-285, all interstates inside the Perimeter, Interstate 75 from I-285 to I-575 on the northwest side and on Interstate Highway 20 from I-285 to Six Flags Hill on the west side.

If you weren’t able to retrieve your car, call 511 and have your tag number ready. You will be told where you car has been taken for impound.

In DeKalb County, cars have been towed to various lots. Call  (404) 297-3934 to find your car. You have until midnight Friday to pick up your car before fees are imposed.

Drivers who abandoned cars in the City of Atlanta have been given a reprieve: the Atlanta Police Department announced that it would wait until noon on Sunday to tow cars. After that, cars will be impounded and fines imposed on the owners. Call (404) 546-4330 for more information.
