Condessa Coffee in the Old Fourth Ward made Zagat’s list.

Zagat has released its list of Atlanta’s  10 Hottest Coffee Shops (which, strangely, includes a few restaurants). The list includes, Hodgewood Coffee, Octane Grant Park, Empire State South, Joe’s East Atlanta, Dancing Goats at Ponce City Market, The General Muir, Cafe Intermezzo, Rev Coffee, Condessa Coffee and Sugar Shack.

Thieves targeted a Buckhead beauty supply store this morning in search of barber clippers. The Atlanta Police responded to a burglary call this morning around 4:55 a.m. at Sally Beauty Supply Store on Piedmont Road and found the glass front door smashed. Inside, thieves had loaded up carts with barber clippers, but left them behind. Store managers were unsure how much merchandise had actually been stolen.

The City of Decatur Fire Department will meet with families who have children with special needs or medical issues on March 12 between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station # 1 at 230 E. Trinity Place.  The meeting will discuss medical care, large scale events, and fire scenarios with families. In addition, officials will inform families about the benefits of using Smart 911 and exchange ideas on how to better dispatchers’ responses to emergency calls from families with special needs. Atlanta Police have arrested and charged two more people in the Nov. 2, 2013 shooting death of Samuel Gantt, 22, in northwest Atlanta. Police arrested one suspect, Detaves Lee Johnson, in December. On Feb. 24, police arrested Juan Derrick Hines and also charged with him felony murder and other related charges.
