If you’ve been over to the Stove Works in Inman Park lately, maybe to have dinner at Rathbun’s or a drink at Krog Bar, you’ll know that parking is suddenly at a premium. That’s because part of the lot is being transformed into a parking deck that will be shared by Stove Works, the under-construction Krog Street Market and a new 222-unit apartment complex called Alexan at Krog Street.
The mid-rise apartment complex is being built by Trammel Crow Residential and is expected to be completed by the sumer of 2015. The apartments will wrap around the parking deck mostly concealing it from the street. The apartments will average 901-square-feet with one and two bedrooms available featuring stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and hardwood floors. Amenities will include a pool, club room, dog wash, bike repair shop (it is on the BeltLine Eastside Trail, after all) and a “hammock garden.”
Paces Properties,  which is developing the Krog Street Market, originally planned to build apartments on the site, but sold the parcel to Trammel Crow.
