An East Point man has been accused of posing as a police officer in order to get a free breakfast at a Dunwoody hotel.
Dunwoody police say they charged Roche Harris, 36, with impersonating an officer, battery, theft by taking and loitering and prowling. All but the impersonating an officer charge are misdemeanors.
Police said that starting in December, Harris began visiting the Staybridge Hotel in order to get the free continental breakfast the hotel offered to patrons. During one visit, hotel staff members confronted him for not being a patron and he assaulted the hotel manager, police said.
In February, Harris returned and displayed a badge, portraying himself as a law enforcement officer, police said.
On March 16, he returned to the hotel and began helping himself to breakfast. Staff members contacted police, who arrested Harris.
