Sandy Springs City Council on April 1 took actions to move forward several sidewalk projects.

The city approved a contract to award a $899,995.71 bid to Georgia Development Partners for sidewalk building and improvements on Roswell Road from Northridge Road to Roberts Drive. Improvements will include landscaping, lights and erosion control, and funds are budgeted in the Community Development Block Grant Program.

The council also voted to accept right-of-way donations for sidewalk work along Powers Ferry Road and Hammond Drive, and to purchase about 276 square feet of right-of-way from a resident along Mount Paran Road for $8,240.
