Georgia Tech’s student-run newspaper Technique reports that Georgia Tech has officially “disbanded” the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, which had been on probation since October when an email entitled “Luring Your Rapebait” was published in Jezebel magazine. The student who wrote and distributed the email, which offered tips to fellow fraternity members on how to lure girls into sex by plying them with alcohol, apologized and was disciplined.

Phi Kappa Tau was placed on probation following the incident, but an investigation by Tech’s Office of Student Integrity uncovered other violations including supplying alcohol to minors and  a “pattern of sexual violence that…suggests a deep-rooted culture within the fraternity that is obscene, indecent and endangers women.”

Technique has also published evidence from the investigation, but be warned that the text includes graphic language and descriptions of sexual violence.
