The Decatur Police are looking for the robbers who broke into seven cars overnight on Chevelle Lane. At approximately 5:30 a.m. this morning, April 10, officers responded to the 500 block of Chevelle Lane in reference to an entering auto. The victim reported his vehicle had been entered during the overnight hours. Officers canvassed the area and located a total of seven vehicles that had been forcibly entered by breaking a window. A small amount of cash was stolen from one vehicle. No other items were reported stolen. Some vehicles were parked on the street and some were parked in driveways.

A federal law enforcement official says a man kidnapped from his North Carolina home may have been targeted because of his daughter’s work as a prosecutor on drug and gang cases, according to a report from our affiliate CBS46. Arthur Janssen, 63, was reunited with his family Thursday morning after an elite team of FBI agents rescued him from an Atlanta apartment complex in southeast Atlanta. Police in Wake Forest, NC, said Janssen was kidnapped from his home when he returned from cycling Saturday morning. When his wife returned from shopping, she discovered what appeared to be blood outside their home and called police.

Robbers have targeted a dozen Fulton County fire stations in recent weeks, waiting for firemen to leave on calls and then breaking into personal vehicles, according to a report from Fox 5. The stations are planning to fence off parking areas.
