The Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market opens its 2014 season on Saturday, April 12, with 100 free tote bags and a ribbon cut by the mayor, the market announced.

The market will open from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul is scheduled to cut a ribbon to officially open the market. The first 100 customers will receive free tote bags, the market said in its announcement.

The market will return to its original location at 225 Sandy Springs Circle, the parking lot where the old Target store stood, for the summer. The market will operate at the site until ground is broken for the new civic center, the market said.
