Tami Willadsen, the Director of Philanthropy for The Nature Conservancy Georgia and chairman of EarthShare of Georgia, was killed along with her 10-year-old daughter, Jess, in a house fire overnight. According to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Willadsen’s husband and 5-year-old son were injured and being treated at Grady Hospital.
DeKalb County firefighters battled the blaze on Lakeshore Drive in Avondale Estates, but have not determined a cause. The family had just moved into the home six weeks ago and held a housewarming party on Saturday night.
