Dunwoody police plan to hold a free “child seat check” on Friday, April 18, at Kingswood United Methodist Church, 5015 Tilly Mill Road.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will check car seats to make sure they are properly installed, the police said. The checks will be provided from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The technicians also will offer advice on how to choose child car seats and how to install them properly, the department said in a press release.

“I am pleased our department is able to offer this life saving service to the community,” said Chief Billy Grogan.  “I am hopeful we will have a lot of participation.”
