The futuristic home that sits on top of the hill at Freedom Park and Boulevard in the Old Fourth Ward has always been a bit of a mystery. Does someone actually live there? It it some sort of business? Or is it just a highfalutin’ maintenance shed? The most persistent rumor was that MTV wanted to use the house to film an Atlanta series of “The Real World,” but were turned down by the owner. Well, the building is actually a residence and is now on the market for a cool $3.5 million.
The property, which actually sits at 442 Cain St., has 10,500-square feet of expandable space, an energy efficient design, secure parking and multiple decks to take in what is surely one of the best views of Downtown Atlanta. It also has a commercial zoning, which would be perfect for a recording or production studio, according to marketing materials from  Cone Middour Partners.
