DeKalb-Peachtree Airport has scheduled its annual public open house and display of aerobatic flying for May 17.

PDK, in 2014, marks 55 years as a general aviation airport. The former Naval Air Station was turned over to DeKalb County in 1959.

The airport’s Good Neighbor Day Airshow and Open House, scheduled from noon to 5 p.m., features acrobatic flights by teams and individual pilots, and displays of helicopters, restored antique airplanes, fire trucks and police vehicles.

Admission is free. Parking costs $10 per vehicle, with access available from Dresden Drive.
