Plans have emerged for a six-story apartment complex about a block from the soon-to-open Buckhead Atlanta project, according to a report at Curbed Atlanta. The 3.6-acre development is in initial phases, but early plans call for 375 units of “high-end luxury rental housing” on Buckhead Avenue. You can also see more about the project at Livable Buckhead.

Atlanta residents, business leaders and other stakeholders will have an opportunity to ask questions about the city of Atlanta’s proposed Fiscal Year 2015 $565,537,987 million city general fund budget during a combined public hearing and virtual town hall meeting at 6 p.m. on May 6, at Atlanta City Hall. The meeting will be broadcast live on City Channel 26 and stream online at atlanta.ga.gov. The Thinking Man Tavern in Decatur is telling customers that guns are not welcome there, according to a report at Decaturish. The Tavern, located on West Howard in Decatur, made the announcement on its Facebook page the day after Gov. Nathan Deal signed House Bill 60, a new law that eases restrictions on where gun owners can carry their weapons.
