Southeastern gamers will gather in the Perimeter area May 22-26 to compete in board games, role-playing games, card games and tabletop miniature games and to take part in special events.

Game-o-Rama, scheduled for the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center, also will offer game-players a chance to compete for trips to the national or world competitions in two popular board games, “Ticket to Ride” and “Settlers of Catan,” organizers of the event said in a press release.

“This is the first time that Ticket to Ride and Settlers of Catan Qualifiers have been held in Atlanta,” organizer Ward Batty said in the release . “Game-o-Rama aims to bring an all-encompassing gaming experience to Atlanta. Atlanta has a great and diverse gaming community, and this will be an opportunity for folks to play their favorites, try a variety of new games, and meet fellow players from the region.

The event will offer vendors with new games, game demonstrations, a group trivia game, a chance to play games by Richard Launius with the designer and a Steampunk jewelry class.

Memberships are $50 until May 20 and $60 after and at the door. The event is limited to 450, so the organizers recommend registering in advance. For more: game-o-rama.com
