Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has appointed Amy Phuong as interim commissioner for the Department of Parks and Recreation to replace George Dusenbury, who departed for a private sector job. Phuong also currently serves as the city’s chief service officer and Centers of Hope initiative. Phuong will serve as interim commissioner while the administration conducts a search for a permanent replacement.

The legendary Gumball 3000 auto rally will pull into Centennial Olympic Park on June 5 between 5 and 10 p.m. featuring live music from Xzibit, DJ Drama, Meek Mill and many others.
