The Sandy Springs City Council on May 20 was presented its first formal look at the potential Fiscal Year 2015 budget.

The presentation by City Manager John McDonough followed two previously held budget workshops.

Projected revenue for 2015 is $83,129,280, up from $80,357,120 in 2014. Projected general fund expenditures for 2015 are $90,185,932, up .93 percent from $89,350,913 in 2014. To balance the budget, a general fund balance from 2014 of $7,056,652 will carry over into the 2015 budget.

The budget process will continue with a public hearing and a budget discussion on June 3, with a final public hearing and city council vote scheduled to take place June 17.
